look at these pink peonies, showing off as the white ones are coming to an end...
my lavender patches are doubling in size every year. i love lavender. i bought more to spread around this place. it's pretty and it smells like heaven.
also i have a patch of blue iris that is really amazing this year...must have been perfect conditions as the flowers are the largest i have seen yet. here's hoping for just enough rain and just enough warm sunny weather to keep things blooming. i think i want to be a gardener when i grow up.

Everyone in this house loves peonies. I planted three bushes of lavender in my back yard, and now I need to go out and clip some, to bring in. It reminds me of walking around Provence.
