i walked by this shrub/tree and the berries took my breath away... i had a little heart palpitation and ran home for my camera. true story. |

i feel queezy if i have to get up before 7:30 am. i don't like to eat anything that early, my head is in a fog. i like the second half of the day best. i love the silhouettes. the outline of horizons and treetops. |

so now add a hot tub. crickets, cool air and sunset silhouettes.... hot. tub. |

august nights are my favorite of the year. something kind of happy/sad about the last half of summer. (hardly any skeeters either) |

we did it again... 6 chicks hung out at the lake. excited to share colours, and stories and fun. |

you can only tell that a year has passed by the way they've grown taller. other than that... it's all the same to them. |

they enjoy each other's company. it's so easy. ...movies, games, swimming, manicures, shopping and late night chats... no agenda...no judgement no expectations or competition. only friendship. it works well. |

i see how things are changing around here... i'm beginning to understand. when your favorite 16 year old becomes your favorite 17 year old... she wants to be with her friends. what a summer this has been so far... hot sunny days and clear cool nights have been repeated over and over again. |

this was "the day it rained"... it was fresh and dewy and appreciated. |

we needed a day to catch up on laundry and tidy the mess that happens when you're too busy having fun. |
| ...i try to never miss this show. i watch to see the colours explode and each time i am running for my camera... because each sunset looks more beautiful than the last. and then right before it's time to hit the hay, i go back out and stare up into the sky... amazed. |

oh and the ducks... how cute are they? from the antique shop in town. the ducklings are smaller than a penny. i scooped them up in a heartbeat. they paddle around on my kitchen windowsill now and they make doing the dishes just a bit more fun. ...hope you're having a wonderful summer too... xox |
