eat, pray, love and fold

i thought i would treat myself to a movie.
i never do this,

i chose "eat, pray, love".
i read the book a couple of years ago
and i loved it.

julia was FABULOUS....
the movie was beautiful.
it took me away...
while i folded laundry.
(i am addicted to pjammie bottoms)

it had me craving spaghetti...
and a hut in bali.
the men in the movie were all as beautiful
and captivating
as ms. roberts herself.

see it if you haven't.
it's lovely.

hmmm...

not 100% sure about this new look...but we are just playing. no stress. i had to make decisions and it was making me feel queasy. the room was spinning. so for now this will do. above is a box that my grandma (liz) painted. her work is so lovely. i'll share more as i unpack it.

i'll go read for awhile and take my mind off of it. just starting chapter 5 and it is pulling me in. i love when that happens.

i love milk glass too. xo

no, i mean reallllly cold

tonight was one of those nights when we were all really glad to have a warm and cozy home. before morning it is supposed to drop down to around -36. so, for all my american friends...that's below zero....

em wanted no part in this photo...too busy with her nose in a crochet book. she's crafty.

this is where i was snuggled in for the evening. watched a little idol...loved the last guy. some multi-tasking occurred 'cause i read some "love in the time of cholera" too. it's a good winter book. and by the way. the tree is now out leaning on the front porch. baby steps.

too cold to shop

"Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are."
it was a very very chilly day today. people were rushing past the door. perhaps making a deposit or picking up a parcel. only a brave few were in the mood to shop and so things were quiet...very quiet. i was grateful to have a fresh book to dive into. crisp and clean. brand-spanking new. awfully glad i had it to keep me company today. i'm taking it to bed with me too. a few chapters in and it has me hooked already. i bought it because of the cover. isn't it a shame when the book doesn't come close to being as lovely as its beautifully designed package?
