| Jann Arden. She's as real as you can get. I have been a big fan for many years. I have been to five concerts and I own every cd, dvd and book she has out there. She is my favourite. |

For the last few weeks she has been promoting her new book and new cd. The book is a memoir and her personal story reads like a novel. It is funny, happy, smart, honest and sad. Just like her. I now can relate to her on a whole new level. Her songs have brand new meanings to me. She is sincerely pouring out her heart. Her songs are personal and honest. |

I've never made it a habit to go out of my way to meet a celebrity...but last week I did, without hesitation. After years of supporting her it was nice that she knew who i was. We've corresponded and I have always been thankful of how she took the time to stay in touch with me. I hope she knows that this visit had nothing to do with getting an autograph or two... I just wanted to tell her how much I appreciated her. Everyone needs to hear it... no matter who they are. |

The show was in the most beautiful auditorium I have ever been to. (Jann mentioned something the same) |

It was a charity concert and Jann sent us all home with signed books. There was no photography during the performance... and I'm glad. I might have missed the special looks she sent my way. It was a night I'll never forget... completely spoiled now for any future concerts. It was like no one else was in the building. Cozy and personal. Like always, her music moved me to tears... Thanks Jann. xox |

i finally got a little job done. it took minutes. why didn't i do this years ago? my grandparent's farm holds far too many wonderful memories to recall. i always loved the curtains in a little room at the front of the house. i had no idea then what they were.. i just loved the pictures of the people, the horses, the houses and barns. ...grandma moses... |

at some point the curtains came down and i became the happy owner of them. having a bit of it hung in my home, finally.... makes me happy. thank you nana xox |

here's a favorite re-do we had this wood screen door leftover from a past reno. couldn't part with it because it was a gift from mom and dad. poor hubby had to drag this thing here to the new house. it is HEAVY. so i asked him to cut the bottom off add a mirror turn it upside down and mount it to the wall attach some hooks and a shelf under it (there are brackets and more hooks under the shelf) i love it and there's not another one like it. p.s. my blog is turning 3 i think i should have a giveaway! |

Sarah 101 who caught the first episode this week? i found the room a bit bright for my taste but i love how she's breaking down the process and making it all about educating... take notes friends, 'cause this girl knows a thing or two. yay for sunday nights with my girls, sarah and desperate housewives... nice. |

out there in blogland people are talking about the year ahead... and they're picking a word. one word that becomes somewhat of a goal... i've read many and they're all inspiring. i thought of one too... love love others love life love myself that kind of covers a bunch all at once doesn't it? what's your word? |

our tree is nearing it's end... as i type i hear the needles drop every now and then. |

yesterday was wonderful... my little family was so good to one another. the girls were excited to GIVE... and watch the reaction of each other. beautiful. sweet and thoughtful. |

it was a nice slow moving morning... coffee and sticky buns. nibbling on chocolate too. |

We all wished for a merry little christmas... and that's just what we received. |

here it is...down to 3 more sleeps...lots left to do but i couldn't go another minute without remembering and sharing why christmas... and santa...mean so much to me. it started as a little girl because of a very special man... a santa who's love for me was pure and unconditional. |

he was fun, silly, goofy. he was wonderful. |

even growing up with him so far away... it never changed. |

and now that he's been gone 16 years he is still right here with me. he's one of the reasons i have love in my heart... especially at christmas. i wish you all this kind of love. thank you all for letting me share my favorite things with you throughout the year... merry merry christmas xoxox |
