This is a female Luna moth. It only lives up to one week and they are rarely seen. They do not eat so they have no mouths, they are only alive to mate. How sad is that??
Love that moth pic - gorgeous! Looking at that second pic just reminded me so much of being at our Muskoka place and staring up at the sky through the trees (I did that a lot). What a perfect Mother's Day note - you can't beat that! xo
