The Days of December

december is such a great month! it is perhaps the motivation i am needing. there will be endless stuff to take photos of. i'll still be using this temperamental and undependable camera, but that won't stop me. yes...i am going for it! i cannot promise anything, but i am going to try to do the DAYS OF DECEMBER!!
so today was a snow day. let's call it snow day #1. last year i believe we had about 12. we shouldn't have had one today. the roads were fine. it snowed, but really it wasn't anything to be too worried about. by dinner time the snow started to get heavy and wet. too much for the snow blower so we spent an hour shovelling. it was actually quite warm out. a perfect night for building an igloo...we didn't... but we SHOULD have!
well, here goes it.
december. my calender is full already! concert, rehearsal, recital, wine and cheese, dinner party, birthday and birthday...apt. apt. and apt...decorating, shopping, writing, wrapping and sending and work, work, work. santa. can't forget santa.
...yay!

WOW...i have SO much to share with you!

It's been snowing up here in the north. That's a good thing because it's forcing me to admit that the holiday season is soon upon us. And that means I need to get moving! The last three months have really flown by. How is it that we have all these hours in a day and yet things still remain waiting? Why does my list never end? I find that I just get going and then something knocks me off course. Usually a daughter or a husband. Lucky for them that I have an amazing ability to remember everything that they forget isn't it? Wouldn't it be nice to have a week at home without anyone else here? That makes me giddy. I mean I would miss them, but think of all the stuff I could accomplish? Projects would have a beginning and an end! Everything would find a home! All the laundry would be put away! Wow, that sounds like a beautiful thing......

This morning I had to deliver Emma to band practice for 7:15 am so I was out enjoying the view. The sun was rising and it was hitting every snow crystal just right. Of course my camera wasn't able to catch the beauty of it all. But I was there. Standing out in the yard in my jammy bottoms and bed head. Waving to the neighbours passing by. I don't really care if they think I'm an odd duck. Because I know I'm not. That's what really matters isn't it?

So I mentioned before that we have a new cutie in our family. Hudson, my nephew. He already knows how to flirt. Us girls kinda like him.

I have been unpacking boxes. Finally, I feel like I can start this because we're close to spreading out around here. The additional space is going to be wonderful. Anyway....these boxes. Wow I have a bunch of stuff. But it's really good stuff, you know?
I am so excited to be organized. So in between all the busy days ahead I will be puttering about, making lists, looking for lost socks, catching dust bunnies, finding loved treasures, remembering where everybody should be and feeding the pets. Oh and I'll be grocery shopping, cooking and scrubbing the bathtub. And also getting out the Christmas lights and putting up a tree, baking cookies. o my gosh......soak in the tub too....and making blog entries of course.
