discovering...day 2

Approximately 1 out of 5 people are
"Highly Sensitive People"

"Sensitive" refers to a highly-tuned nervous system.
This isn't all about emotions.
They are able to process more sensory input that others.

Sights, smells, sounds, touch, taste and emotion
all come through at heightened levels.

This all helps to explain why
I have often felt over-sensitive
and over-emotional.
Also explains why I dislike crowds,
strong perfumes and bright lights.
***
More on how overstimulation has a negative effect...
tomorrow.

31 days...discovering more about myself.

blog land is playing a little game right now.
"31 days"
31 days of anything you want to talk about.
anything you want to share.
the timing is great for me,
because i have just opened the doors to
exciting new information.
it's like i just found the book of Leanne...
finally a manual to explain how i operate.
for my whole life i felt different from everyone.
i cared too much, cried too often...
remembered every little detail and
had a hard time with change and letting go.
nobody knows this, but my mind is always
thinking, thinking, thinking...
worrying, remembering and caring WAY too much
about what others thought of me.
now i know why.
everyday, i will try to share one fun fact about being
"A HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON"
(did you even know there was such a thing as this??)
i am just overwhelmed by everything i've learned
over the last 24 hours...
so if you are one or know one
this might be helpful.
and if you think it's silly nonsense...
don't bother coming around for the next 31 days.
i promise it won't hurt my feelings.
