this week we've had freezing rain (first "snow day" of the season) and then a huge dumping of snow. |

allie cat has nicely recovered from a health scare... everything is fine now. whew! |

my nose found this candle a few years ago in our towns christmas store. i could smell christmas... christmas on the farm... this is the exact smell i remember. "gold, frankincense and myrrh" (colonial candles) |

the real tree is up. it is red and white, kind of an old fashioned theme... vintage elves, embroidered hearts, snowflakes, birdhouses...stars. and my giant granny squared blanket as a skirt. it's a quaint little tree. our "family" tree is also looking nice... so yep...3 trees in total. :) |

in the hall i wanted to tie things together... i see a glittery bird...a vintage tinsel tree... pinecones and lace. ta da! |

brought lots of evergreen cuttings in and laid them out here and there... |
