a night away with my girls

we left daddy at home. he was in the middle of a stinky staining project. i quickly filled the cooler and we packed our jammies and toothbrushes. a hour later the fire was warming up the cottage and we were settling in for the night...scrabble, chocolate and chit chat.

elsie couldn't wait to get outside the next day...

emma took home the gold medal on the sledding hill...elsie a very close silver...

mid february already?

we had an abnormally busy little weekend...two sleepover nights and a day at the ski hill.

here's my little valentine sweety...she's five now. so smart and chatty. very creative and talented too. hope to have her here more often...she is at a great age for sleepovers. i can't even begin to mention all the stuff her and elsie did together...she is a busy girl.

this is the time of year when the days feel a bit less "wintery"...a wee bit less. heaven when the sun shines. wishing for some of it now. until then i will be here cheering on the canadian atheletes...go canada go!......even the hockey team...
