summer has arrived...

peonies and bumble bees...
a sure sign that summer has officially begun.
we had a few very hot days
and it was so hard on my pretty peonies.
such a shame that they only last
a short time when that happens.

i enjoyed the "supermoon"...
this porch was apparently designed
to watch the rising perfectly.

the little job is going smoothly...

the second shop in Dorset is
very quaint...
the customers arrive with ice cream cones in hand.

and i love the views
from the back deck...

I love peonies but oh my they are delicate once they bloom it seems. I only know that they don't last long when you cut them and bring them in. How are they on the plant? It is super hot here now! 100's for a few days in a row is on the horizon. Caitlin comes home from London on Monday, and it will be a huge shift for them to arrive in the heat, as it has been cool and rainy in England.

Great shots of your Peonies, Leanne...
Mine were awesome this year!
Did you know you could dry them...and they look like roses...
Great in small vignettes..
Have a great long weekend...
We are still home, as my daughter is under the weather, and we are watching sweet cheeks for her!
Pretty darn crappy out there, anyway!

Cheers!

Love your peonies - one of my all-time favourite flowers! I want to eat ice cream in Dorset! Getting very excited to visit my ole stompin grounds! :)
